Munich, 15. September 2018 10:30 to 0:00

The regional group Munich goes on a trip to Kloster Andechs (Andechs Abbey), up on a ‘holy hill’ above Lake Ammersee. Andechs is a favourite pilgrimage destination (next to Altötting the 2nd most popular in Bavaria),  for its lovely rococo church, its great location, and not least its famous beer.

We will go to Herrsching by S-Bahn and start our hike there. The walk will take 2-2:30 hours round trip, plus a noon break in Andechs (restaurant or beergarden, visit of church and exploration of grounds). It is not difficult and does not require special equipment. Back in Herrsching we can take a walk along the lakeshore, and in good weather go on a boat trip, if we are in time and feel like it.
