Munich, 25. August 2018 8:30 to 0:00

The regional group Munich goes on a day trip to historical Nuremberg.  Guided tours in English will introduce us to the Memorium Nuremberg Trials and the city’s long beer brewing tradition.

Because of the city’s importance in the Holy Roman Empire and its geographical location, the National Socialist Party chose Nuremberg as the site of huge party conventions — the Nuremberg rallies. After the war, world history was written in the courtroom of the Nuremburg Palace of Justice. This is where leaders of the Nazi regime had to answer for their crimes before an International Military Tribunal between November 20, 1945 and October 1, 1946. The trials had an enormous influence on the development of international criminal law right up to the present.

Courtroom 600 remains a working courtroom to this day. An information and documentation center, the Nuremberg Trials Memorial (“Memorium Nürnberger Prozesse”), is located on the top floor of the Courthouse.

The number of places is limited, share per person 10 euros.
