The next “Heidelberg Talks Online” meeting will be held on Friday, March 17, 7-8:30 p.m. CET (GMT/UTC +1). The topic is:


“Sensitivity of high alpine geosystems to climate change since 1850 – insights into the work of the DFG research group SEHAG”


The speaker is Dr. Florian Haas, researcher at the Chair of Physical Geography at the Catholic University Eichstädt-Ingolstadt and project leader at SEHAG. After his diploma studies in physical geography at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich, he worked as a research assistant at the University of Göttingen before he moved to the University of Eichstädt-Ingolstadt, where he received his PhD. In addition to the Alps and the Danube floodplain, his main research interests include Iceland, La Réunion, Tuscany and Elba. The research work of his team was the subject of a documentary on ZDF (minutes 27:55-32:52) and a film by ski star Felix Neureuter on National Geographic (approx. 8 min.).
