Landshut, a beautiful Bavarian town on the river Isar north-east of Munich with a long and varied history, is our pre-Christmas destination this year.  It is of national  importance for its predominantly Gothic  historic town centre: Trausnitz Castle, the Church of Saint Martin, featuring the world’s tallest brick tower,  the Town Hall, and the Ländtor are some of its well-preserved architectural jewels.

Our trip will include a guided  tour in English, a lunch together, and time to explore the town on ourselves and/or visit one of the Christmas markets.
