Dear DAAD fellows,
We warmly invite you to this year’s interdisciplinay colloquium for young researchers.
Since 2016 the regional group Ruhr of DAAD Alumni & Friends has co-organized four colloquia per year, since 2019 co-hosted by FH Dortmund. We invite DAAD fellows currently pursuing their research in Germany and other young researchers in NRW to present their ongoing projects. Some use the chance to discuss project outlines, others rehearse for upcoming conferences or even for the defense of their doctoral theses. Grant your peers the recognition deserved and engage in dialogue across all disciplines and cultures.

“We are stunned and shocked by Russia’s attack on Ukraine. As DAAD alumni, we stand for international exchange, for getting to know new cultures and for peaceful coexistence. The appeal for help by DAAD alumnus Igor O. Girka from Kharkiv shows the brutality and violence of the Russian rulers in their invasion of a sovereign state, leading to unimaginable suffering. Our deep solidarity goes out to all Ukrainians at this difficult time – including those who are studying in Germany on a DAAD scholarship and fear for their country. We are glad that many Russians think the same way and have the courage to condemn the war of aggression in clear words. We know: Wars know no winners, only losers.
The DAAD circle of friends and its regional groups are available as contact persons for the DAAD scholarship holders affected.”
