In the course of the ‘Opernfestspiele’ (Opera Festival), Bayerische Staatsoper stages several lieder recitals. The regional group Munich attends an evening with the great, internationally renowned Bulgarian soprano Krassimira Stoyanova, accompanied by Jendryk Springer on piano, at the beautiful Prinzregententheater (built around 1900 along the lines of the Wagner-Festspielhaus in Bayreuth).

The programme:  Lieder – all in their original language – by  Franz Schubert, Richard Strauss, Erich Wolfgang Korngold, Tchaikowsky, Sergey Rachmaninov, and her compatriot Georgi Zlatev-Tcherkin.
