The next “Heidelberg Talks Online” (HTO) meeting takes place on Friday, November 12,
7-9 pm CET (GMT/UTC + 1).
Topic: “Why Does Genocide Happen and What Can Be Done About It?”
Speaker: David J. Simon, the Director of the Genocide Studies Program at Yale University
and a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Political Science. He holds a Bachelor’s degree
from Princeton University and a Master’s and Ph.D. from UCLA and has served as a consultant to the United Nations’ Office of the Special Advisor for the Prevention of Genocide on several occasions.
