Bodensee, 26. August 2017 to 27. August 2017 7:00 to 0:00

The regional group Tübingen organizes a trip to Lake Constance. For the first time the traditional trip is organized with an overnight stay!

When? August 26 to 27, starting at 26th around 7.15 am. We plan to arrive in Tübingen on Sunday evening no later than 9 pm.

On Saturday 26th, we plan to hike to the Sipplinger Berg above the lake (about 1h walk) to visit the water supply system of Lake Constance (Bodenseewasserversorgung — a long word), which supplies the region of Stuttgart and also Tübingen with drinking water. From there, we’ll head to Constance, where we’ll spend the night in the youth hostel. You’ll have the evening off to explore the town and the lake shore.

On Sunday, we’ll cross the lake back to Uhldingen to see the famous pile dwellings (Pfahlbauten) and explore how people lived at the lake shore 5000 years ago. The rest of the day is reserved for swimming!

Since we have limited spots available, preference is given to DAAD fellows studying in Tübingen.
