Among its many celebrated collections of 2000 years of European art and material culture, the Bayerisches Nationalmuseum is home to a uniquely valuable and comprehensive collection of nativity scenes. On our tour, guided by DAAD alumna and art historian Nicole Pulichene, we will focus on the sculpted representations of the Baby Jesus and explore historical attitudes towards the biblical story of Christ’s birth.
