The Semele myth from Ovid's ‚Metamorphoses‘, set to music by the great German composer George Frideric Handel during his long stay in London. Munich's Gärtnerplatztheater brings an exciting production to the stage.
29. June 2018, Munich
A concert with a gripping programme awaits the regional group Munich at the Herkulessaal: Canadian conductor Yannick Nézét-Seguin performs Stravinsky, Poulenc und Shostakovich with the BRSO and its choirs. Special guest is Mikhail Petrenko, the celebrated bass (photo).
7. July 2018, Munich
In Aying, southeast of Munich, we learn how Bavaria's national drink (some would call it food) is made. After a lunch break we take off on an easy hike with impressive mountain views. A great way to celebrate 100 years of 'Free State of Bavaria.'

The regional group Munich has some highlights in store at its last get-together in the summer term: films by DAAD alumna Sanne Kurz and music by DAAD alumnus Riko Schadow and friends.
