Museum Barberini, Potsdam, May 9, 2026, 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM

Guided tour through the current exhibition about work from Max Liebermann and other artists in the Museum Barberini in Potsdam.

Max Liebermann was a pioneer of the first artistic avant-garde movement in Germany. With his early and visionary focus on France, he ushered in a renewal of painting that had a lasting impact on German Impressionism. We will explore, in a guided tour, how Liebermann in his roles as an artist, collector, and president of the Berlin Secession, provided the decisive impetus for the internationalization of the German art world together with other German artists of that time.
