City excursion to Trier
The first event of the relay race took place in Trier in March 2025. Under the heading “100 Highlights Along the Mosel,” the regional groups from Düsseldorf and Cologne organized a day trip to Trier for scholarship holders from Düsseldorf, Bonn, and Cologne. History, culture, and new friendships: During a joint day trip to Nuremberg, the regional groups from Stuttgart, Rhein-Main, and Braunschweig-Hannover explored historic landmarks, enjoyed Franconian specialties, and reflected on Germany’s past. Mushroom Tour in Wandlitz

Members of the DAAD Alumni Association embarked on an exciting mushroom hike through the forests of Wandlitz. Guided by experts, participants learned to distinguish edible mushrooms from poisonous ones and gained fascinating insights into the local flora. The full report is here:

Workshop on Sustainable Development

How can we shape a greener future? This was the central question at the two-day workshop hosted by RG Stuttgart in January 2024. DAAD scholarship holders explored topics such as circular economy, the SDGs, and bioeconomy – enriched by hands-on insights, including a visit to Stuttgart Airport.
