PhD student symposium

On the occasion of the DAAD’s 100th anniversary, we are delighted to invite you to a special event organized by the DAAD-Freundeskreis: On October 29, starting at 2 p.m., a half-day interdisciplinary symposium will be held on the topic of “Sustainability in times of change: Responsibility for tomorrow” for DAAD scholars/alumni and friends. The event is being organized by the RG Ruhr in collaboration with Macromedia University; the venue is Macromedia University (Brüderstraße 17, 50667 Cologne).

It will begin at 2 p.m. with a short welcome, followed by two panel sessions and a public panel discussion. Afterwards, we invite all participants to an evening snack.

The symposium is all about international and interdisciplinary exchange, with “sustainability” as the central theme and connecting element. We want to highlight the diversity of sustainability, from environmental issues to social justice to economic transformation processes.
