Trip to Lake Chiemsee

Known as the “Bavarian Sea”, Chiemsee is one of Bavaria’s most beautiful destinations, especially in summer. Just one hour from Munich by train, it offers stunning scenery, charming islands and plenty of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. Our programme includes a boat trip on the lake, a visit to Herrenchiemsee Palace (King Ludwig II’s famous castle) and, weather permitting, the chance for a swim.

The excursion is generously supported by the DAAD-Freundeskreis. Your contribution will be approximately €10, plus your individual and personal expenses for food and drinks and your train ticket to Prien and back (Deutschlandticket is valid)

We will meet at Munich Hauptbahnhof at 8:30 a.m. and expect to return around 6:00 p.m.. The guided tour at Herrenchiemsee Palace will be in English.
