Munich, 18. September 2021 6:45 to 0:00

The RG Munich tackles its third hike in the spectacular Karwendel range. We travel by train and bus. Our hike starts at Hagelhütten, we walk along the  beautiful Riss valley and up past several meadows (cow sightings guaranteed) to Kompar mountain. From there we will cross to Plumsjoch and have a break at Plumsjochhütte before we descend to Riss valley again. We can walk on to see the famous maple trees („Großer Ahornboden“) if time allows. Participants need sturdy hiking shoes. We will walk for about 7 hours net, elevation gain 1000-1200 m, so a good level of fitness is required!

We cross into Austria, so an ID is necessary. Participants also have to be able to present a negative COVID test (PCR test no older than 72 hrs by time of entry, or antigen test no older than 48 hrs.) or proof of vaccination/past infection.  For more information: https://www.austria.info/en/service-and-facts/coronavirus-information/entry-regulations
