The Semele myth from Ovid's ‚Metamorphoses‘, set to music by the great German composer George Frideric Handel during his long stay in London. Munich's Gärtnerplatztheater brings an exciting production to the stage.

A concert with a gripping programme awaits the regional group Munich at the Herkulessaal: Canadian conductor Yannick Nézét-Seguin performs Stravinsky, Poulenc und Shostakovich with the BRSO and its choirs. Special guest is Mikhail Petrenko, the celebrated bass (photo).
