Munich, 23. October 2021 10:45 to 12:15

The Bavarian King Ludwig I built himself a monument in the shape of a street. It is probably the most egocentric and megalomaniac building project in Munich’s history, an outdoor ballroom without any reference to reality. 1170 meters long and 37 meters wide, it is evidence of one person‘s obsession with art and architecture to this day – Ludwigstraße.

The RG Munich, under the guidance of artist and art educator Camill von Egloffstein, delves into the past and present of this street, which is a seminal element of Munich‘s cityscape.

Guided tour in German, max. 20 participants.
