The regional group Munich goes on a hike around the Eibsee, located  southwest of Garmisch-Partenkirchen below Germany’s highest mountain, the Zugspitze.  A walk around this lake, one of the loveliest in the Bavarian alps, is a rewarding experience at any time of the year, and particularly spectacular in the winter.
