The Berlin regional group invites you to our fouth excursion in the surroundings of Berlin, with its many forests and lakes.
This time we will stay for the second time within the limits of Berlin’s southeastern borough Treptow-Köpenick. We will cross two forests and a park and enjoy the beautiful colours of the deciduous forests. 

Our hiking tour will start at the S-Bahn station Wuhlheide (served by S3 from the city centre), it will lead through Wuhlheide forest, then reaching the Spree river which we will cross by a ferry, it will lead then along the river and through Plänterwald forest to the Island of Youth and through Treptower Park reaching the S-Bahn station Treptower Park (at the Berlin S-Bahn ring served by S8, S85, S9, S41, and S42). 

In the middle and at the end of the hiking trail are locations where you can buy food and drinks. 

The walking distance will be around 13 km. The trails are mostly broad and convenient, but sometimes narrow. Shoes which are tailor-made for hiking are nevertheless recommended.
The expenses for transport as well as food and drinks shall be covered by the participants themselves.
