DAAD Freundeskreis Munich is going hiking in the alps again.

We will take a cable car to Herzogstand peak and from there we will hike on the beautiful mountain ridge to Heimgarten, Hirschberg and then get a train back at Eschenlohe. The total distance will be about 18 km with 600 m altitude gain (but with 1500 m downhill!). So it’s a difficult hike that requires a good level of fitness. Hiking shoes are required due to rough terrain and participants should have no fear of heights as some of the passages are exposed.
