Munich, 18. March 2023 11:00 to 0:00

The RG Munich goes on a visit of the church organ museum  (lampl-orgelzentrum.com)  in the village of Valley and combines it with a small hike. The organ is the biggest of all musical instruments, the „queen of instruments“, and technically very interesting. The museum houses the world´s largest collection of historic organs, housed in several old buildings, including an old castle and a spectacular former barn with peculiar wooden ceiling.

We  take the S-Bahn to Kreuzstraße and walk up to the village and the museum (about 1h), through very nice landscape, along the river Mangfall (Munich’s drinking water comes from this protected area) and with hopefully great views of the mountains.

We have a guided tour in German of the museum and have the chance to see and hear several of the many different instruments. Also, the architecture of the old barn ist quite interesting.
