State Capital with Many Faces

Anyone who sees Hanover as a boring crossroads does not know the city. The capital of the federal state of Lower Saxony and the location of nine universities offers something for all tastes.

Hanover not only has a castle with wonderful Baroque gardens, you will also find a vibrant cultural life with visual arts, galleries, museums, theatres, an opera house and concerts as well as cabarets, jazz, etc. And Hanover is also known for its fairs, e.g. the internationally renowned CeBIT.

We can go to the zoo, a bathing lake or events like the biggest marksmen’s fair in the world. We can visit the old town, the museums or the Herrenhäuser Gardens or go to other towns in Lower Saxony. In cooperation with Leibniz University, we invite you to five interesting events a year, where we can get to know one another and make plans for further leisure activities.

We are also pleased to meet committed Hanoverians who would like to welcome scholarship holders to their home or their company for a day or a weekend. And as a scholarship holder, you can achieve a great deal by presenting your country of origin in schools. If interested, please get in touch at our contact address!
