Munich, 13. March 2018 20:00 to 21:30

In Radio Bavaria’s Studio 2 we will get to hear a mostly Russian programme with Russian pianist Andrei KorobeinikovFranz Schubert, 3  Impromptus – Sergey Rachmaninov, Elegy, op. 3/1, Variations on a Theme by  Corelli, op. 42 – Alexander Skrjabin, Etude cis-Moll, op. 2/1, Piano Sonata Nr. 6, op. 62, “Vers la flamme”, op. 72.

When Korobeinikov was very young, music was added to the scientific environment of his childhood – his parents were both physics students. Until today his approach to the piano seems to be characterized by his yearning for a balance between rationality and emotion, analysis and emphasis.

32 year old Korobeinikov, who had already won more than 20 national and international prizes by the age of 20, considers himself primarily a soloist and has performed with renowned conductors like Yuri Temirkanov, Leonard Slatkin and Mikhail Pletnev, and leading orchestras and ensembles like London Philharmonic, Konzerthausorchester Berlin, or Kremerata Baltica. But he also enjoys playing chamber music and counts musicians like Vadim Repin,  Alina Ibragimova,  Boris Berezovsky, and Tine Thing Helseth among his musical partners.
